Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund

The Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund is a collaborative funding partnership between United Way, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the National AIDS Fund, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, Jeffrey fashion cares and StyleAtlanta.

The mission of the AAPF is to further HIV/AIDS advocacy, provide prevention interventions and client services in metropolitan Atlanta through funding and leadership. Since 1993 the AAPF has awarded grants totaling more than $8.5 million to help lessen the impact of this epidemic in our community and to improve the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS.

While the partnership's grant-making priorities change depending on the current state of the epidemic, the AAPF is focusing its resources for 2006 in these areas:

  • Prevention interventions - approximately 50 percent of funding

  • Client Services for people already living with HIV/AIDS - approximately 40 percent of funding

  • Advocacy efforts (both national and local) designed to positively impact those living with HIV/AIDS - approximately 10 percent of funding
