United Way Women's Legacy

Welcome to Women's Legacy of United Way where women are working together to build stronger, safer communities. Mothers and daughters, sisters and friends are making an impact through United Way and leaving a legacy.

Mission and purpose

  • Women's Legacy of United Way was founded in 1999 to mobilize women to become powerful philanthropists through leadership, fundraising and advocacy.

  • Educating women about philanthropic involvement and leadership, defined in the broadest terms as investing time, talent and treasure in the issues they care about most.

Women's Legacy would like to thank The Coca-Cola Foundation for its support and sponsorship.

    2008 Shoebox Project

Shoebox Project collections have been extended to February 8.

Collection points at all local United Way offices will be available Jan 2–Feb 8, 2008. Please keep the 2008 Shoebox Project in mind throughout the holiday season—saving hotel shampoos and soaps as you travel and setting aside shoeboxes as holiday gifts are unwrapped.
