On Thursday, June 29, 2006, United Ways of Georgia Association held the statewide Disaster Preparedness conference for United Way staff, volunteers and board members, community leaders and government agencies. The Conference was held at The Augusta Marriott Hotel in Augusta, Georgia from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and was attended by more than 100 people.
