Make a Difference Day is a day dedicated to positive community impact, observed on the fourth Saturday of October. Join in the celebration by sharing a book in a local Little Free Library. You can participate on your own or with friends and family.

As a volunteer book distributor, you will visit Little Free Libraries in your area to distribute books. Volunteer anytime during the weekend of October 27-29.

You can give away books you no longer need or ask friends, family, and neighbors to donate books. If you share a book that you’ve enjoyed reading, consider including a note to the future reader explaining why you liked it.

It’s easy to get started: Download our free mobile app or visit our map to find book-sharing boxes near you.

Volunteers who report their impact in the Team LFL hub will have a chance to win a $50 Bookshop gift card!
