United Way of Greater Atlanta is pleased to announce the 2023-2024 Board of Directors. Peter Carter, Executive VP & Chief Legal Officer at Delta Air Lines, has been named Board Chair. Peter previously served more than 5 years as a member of the organization’s Board.
The organization’s vision is for Greater Atlanta to be a thriving and inclusive community where every person, regardless of race, identity or circumstances, has equitable opportunities to live a healthy life and to acquire the education and skills they need to achieve their full potential. United way of Greater Atlanta’s Child Well-Being Index recently identified that more than 500,000 of Greater Atlanta’s 1.2 million children and youth live in areas of high need, where measures of child well-being are significantly lower than their neighbors’.
These new board members join with the United Way team and thousands of volunteers across our 13-county region to ensure that all families and individuals thrive in Greater Atlanta.
