16th Annual Women’s Leadership Breakfast: Not Just a Breakfast

May 21, 2024

The 16th Annual Women’s Leadership Breakfast was not just a breakfast, but a powerful platform to amplify women’s voices in a crucial conversation about entrepreneurship and economic stability. Held at The Woodruff Arts Center on May 2nd the event featured esteemed panelists from various industries, a thought-provoking discussion about financial instability and homelessness in Greater Atlanta, and a unique opportunity to support women entrepreneurs at a women-owned business market.

Our esteemed panelists were Monique Rodriquez, the founder of Mielle Organics, a global beauty brand; Jewel Burks Solomon, Managing Partner at Collab Capital, a venture capital firm investing in Black founders; and Anne Quatrano, an award-winning chef, restauranteur, and author known for her commitment to sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. The discussion was moderated by Juanita Velez, Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Operation at Delta.

The event also highlighted the impactful work being done on financial instability and homelessness in Greater Atlanta during a discussion with Joy Monroe, founder of SPARC (Single Parent Alliance & Resource Center) and Amy Barrow, Senior Director, Homelessness.

In partnership with The Village Retail, a company that gives Black-owned brands a space and voice to launch and sell their products, we hosted our first-ever business market featuring six women-owned businesses.
