Chair of the Tocqueville Cabinet 2024-2025: Christi Schenzel

We are excited to share that Christi Schenzel, a longtime United Way of Atlanta leader, Tocqueville Member, and Women United leader, will serve as Chair of the Tocqueville Society and the Ivan Allen Giving Circle for 2024/2025. Christi brings a depth of professional and philanthropic leadership experience and commitment to the child well-being mission and the Tocqueville Society. Christi is also serving on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Christi Schenzel is a long-time Partner within PwC’s Specialized Tax Services (“STS”) and one of the National R&D Product Leaders. She is also a member of PwC’s R&D Technical Committee and a Talent Network Champion. Christi has over 17 years of expertise related to R&D tax credits, including experience assisting clients with defending large R&D tax credit claims during IRS examinations. Christi has led numerous R&D tax engagements for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies.

Christi has managed R&D tax credit engagements for clients in the following industries: Consumer Products, Manufacturing, Technology, Computer Hardware and Software, Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Chemical, Automotive, Aerospace and Defense and Forestry and Paper Products. Christi has extensive experience in identifying qualified R&D activities and expenses, capturing additional benefits related to her client’s current investments (e.g., Cloud, Security, ESG), and implementing technology tools to improve the efficiency of R&D credit engagement processes.

Christi has led PwC’s Global Incentives Solutions (“GIS”) implementations for companies of varying sizes and industries. Christi’s deep expertise in GIS and technology tools enables her clients to realize significant project efficiencies and achieve company goals.

Christi graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program. She is a licensed CPA in Georgia and a member of the AICPA. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
