United Way of Greater Atlanta and our corporate partners are making a significant impact on our community by donating hygiene kits to support Motel to Home, an initiative aimed at ending homelessness and transforming lives in Greater Atlanta. Motel-to-Home operates through a three-step process: outreach, housing, and aftercare. Our housing location specialists work diligently to identify the unique barriers each family faces and match them with affordable housing solutions. Many homeless families and individuals find themselves living in motels as a last resort when they are on the brink of homelessness. These motels, scattered across every county, serve as temporary shelters for those in desperate need.
Through Motel-to-Home, we intervene to provide families with comprehensive case management, assistance with deposits, and follow-up care. Our goal is to leverage their existing strengths and income to help them achieve long-term stability and independence.
