Exciting News: Announcing the New Women United Cabinet!

September 20, 2024

We are thrilled to introduce the newest members of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Women United Cabinet! This dynamic group of leaders brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to our mission, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them into this pivotal role.

The Women United Cabinet is a vital part of our organization, championing initiatives that drive transformative change across Greater Atlanta. This year, as we embark on ambitious goals and face new challenges, their leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our work—from expanding our outreach and deepening community partnerships to enhancing support systems essential to those we serve. Together, we’re committed to supporting initiatives that provide vital opportunities for women and their families, fostering financial stability and enhancing the quality of early childhood care and education. Women United’s collective power supports United Way of Greater Atlanta’s economic stability work, which includes these strategies:

  • Secure Housing: By providing financial assistance and support for stable housing, we help families gain access to and maintain permanent homes, paving the way for stability and security.
  • Basic Needs and Equitable Access: We work to ensure that families have access to essential resources such as food, digital connectivity, and preventative health care, bridging gaps that hinder their progress.
  • Build Wealth: Our programs are designed to empower families to increase their savings, improve credit scores, and access financial education, setting the stage for economic mobility and wealth-building.
  • Employment Pathways: We focus on more than just job placement; we’re committed to fostering career growth by providing job training, experiential learning opportunities, and credentialing support in high-demand fields.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come:

A Year of Transformation: Our agenda is packed with opportunities for growth and impact. The Women United cabinet will be at the forefront of expanding our reach and strengthening our community connections.

Inspiring Collaboration: The Women United Cabinet retreat on September 20 marks the beginning of an exciting year and will provide an opportunity for our new cabinet members to connect, strategize, and dive into the work that lies ahead.

Making a Difference: With their unique perspectives and expertise, our new cabinet members will play a critical role in driving the initiatives that will positively impact countless lives in our community.

We’re honored to have such exceptional individuals join our team and are confident that their leadership will bring about meaningful change.
