STEMUp Submission

It’s your time to show out with your STEM skills! United Way of Greater Atlanta is pleased to announce the 2024 STEMUp: Youth Maker Competition.

Through STEMUp, we award grants to youth to test innovative ideas that can solve problems in their communities. This live competition modeled after the television show “Shark Tank” is an opportunity for young people in our region to use their ideas, voice, and leadership to improve our communities. The competition is open to middle and high school-aged students in the United Way of Greater Atlanta 13-county footprint. Submission Deadline: February 23rd, 2024. Finalists selected for the live pitch will be announced by March 1, 2024. Selected finalists will be invited to participate in the Design Thinking Workshops held on March 16, 2024 and April 27, 2024. At the live pitch, students may be awarded up to $10,000.00 to support the implementation of their innovative idea. Additional funds to help support the participation in the STEMUp program may be available if needed. Please see the request for additional funds at the end of the application.

The STEMup Youth Maker Competition application is now closed.
