Pathways to Potential Youth Grantmaker Program
Organizations helping young people overcome barriers and reach their full potential are invited to apply for funding through United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Pathways to Potential Youth Grantmaker Program.
Young people are leading the way. Through this youth-led grantmaking initiative, a diverse cohort of youth leaders, including individuals with lived experience, will review grant applications, evaluate community needs, and direct funding to organizations creating opportunities for youth across Greater Atlanta.
Supported by funding from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the youth grantmakers awarded $145,000 in grants during its inaugural year. Now, Cohort 2 is expanding its impact with larger funding opportunities, awarding grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 to eligible organizations helping young people build brighter futures.
Who should apply?
- Serve youth (ages 14-24) who face significant barriers to opportunity, including youth involved in the child welfare system, juvenile justice system, or other public systems, youth experiencing homelessness, and other young people facing barriers to education, employment, and economic mobility
- Primarily focus on employment (career pathways) and education while providing stabilizing supports through mental well-being and/or basic needs
- Operate within United Way of Greater Atlanta’s 13-county region
