Our county advisory boards play a pivotal role in representing United Way of Greater Atlanta within the community, helping to ensure that each neighborhood’s voice stays integral to our decision-making processes. By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, the advisory boards foster a collaborative and inclusive approach to community development, rallying together organizations and individuals to work together to improve child well-being and build a better future for Greater Atlanta’s 13 counties.
Based on local insights from the Child Well-Being Index ®, the Northeast Region Advisory Boards have chosen to prioritize their efforts around United Way of Greater Atlanta’s work to build strong learners, increase economic stability and invest in strategies to improve equity—so all kids, families and communities have the same opportunities to reach their full potential.
We know it takes all of us, working across every sector, to improve child well-being. So, our board members are recruited from different sectors across the DeKalb, Gwinnett, North Fulton and South Fulton communities.
