Meet your 2025-26 Young Professional Leaders Cabinet

Young Professional Leaders launch a new year of building Learning Spaces and community.
23 leaders under 40 are ready to make a difference through supporting United Way of Greater Atlanta’s literacy and early learning programs.

As we enter another year of impact, United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Young Professional Leaders (YPL) are looking forward to building community while putting education in reach for young learners.

Eric Jones, Assistant Vice President, Treasury Management Associate at Ameris Bank and two-time YPL Vice Chair, will lead the YPL cabinet as Chair for the upcoming year.

This year, the YPL cabinet set a goal to raise funds to establish new Learning Spaces, free preschool sessions held in community spaces for families to learn together.

“This is going to be critical in addressing the types of education gaps that students may be experiencing. The quality of education that you receive should not be predicated on what part of town you live in,” said Eric. “I believe very strongly in that, and the work we’re doing is going to continue to help address that need.”

If you are a professional under the age of 40 who shares a similar passion for making a difference, YPL invites you to join! YPL offers opportunities for philanthropic, professional, and social growth.

“I’ve heard time and time again that as young people, it’s difficult for us to make friends as we get older. What we’re doing here—beyond what we’re doing for young learners and their families—we’re building a community and real friendships,” said Eric.

“I really want to make an impact here, and United Way is giving me an opportunity to be the boots on the ground and meet the need where it is, making the change we wish to see.”
