Rorie Scurlock serves as Associate Vice President of Economic Stability at the United Way of Greater Atlanta. In her current position, she provides leadership and grants management to the Economic Stability team, which ensures the coordination and implementation of key strategies to end homelessness, increase food access, and improve financial stability in our region. Rorie is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and received her master’s degree from Georgia State University and bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University. Prior to her work at United Way, her experience includes outreach and case management with individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health with youth, and adult substance abuse and mental health day program services.

Cori V. Cain is currently the Associate Vice President of Strong Learners at the United Way of Greater Atlanta. She is responsible for developing, strengthening and implementing strategies, activities and investments that improve outcomes for children 0 to 8 and their families throughout metro Atlanta. This includes structures for service delivery, data collection, program evaluation, and grant compliance. Cori enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.

She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and a M. A. in Family- Centered Early Childhood Education with a focus in Deafness.

Michele Jacobs is the Associate Vice President of College and Career Ready for United Way of Greater Atlanta (UWGA). She has been managing the College and Career Ready (CCR) investment portfolio since its inception. The CCR portfolio aims to connect young people to education and employment opportunities, which is part of UWGA’s commitment to improving Child Well-being in the metro area. Michele’s career in youth development started with her leadership of an afterschool program at Hands On Atlanta. She then spent 16 years working for United Way in various roles, from Operations Manager to Senior Director of Youth Development. Michele has successfully led and supported community engagement initiatives, built the capacity of partner agencies, and aligned strategic partnerships and investments to improve outcomes for youth and young adults in metro Atlanta. Michele holds a National Career Pathway Leadership Certification, a B.A. in Psychology, and a Master of Social Work degree from Georgia State University. She is a native Atlantan who remains committed to improving the lives of young people in metro Atlanta.
